Prothena Participates in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s
Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Last month, Prothenians showed their support by participating in walks across the globe – including Dublin, San Francisco, San Diego, Philadelphia and Boston. As colleagues were joined alongside family and friends, all walked with optimism for a better future for patients living with this devastating disease and their caregivers.
Mimi DeSouza, Vice President, Product Team Lead at Prothena, joined the walk in Philadelphia noting, “I walk because others can’t. I walk to help raise awareness of the disease. I walk to raise money to help families and patients. Once a year, I put on purple, ask friends and colleagues to join me, raise a remembrance flower and walk in efforts to end this terrible disease.”
